The AMI Series 100 Sunscreen is a versatile system that can be modified for many different applications. The system is designed for versatility in size and configuration. It is available in many different finishes, from anodized to exotic kynar paints.

The system is designed on job specific bases. That is to say, the structural attachments and design are engineered specifically to field conditions and architectural design. Outrigger material, size and attachment are based on field conditions and calculated for weight and design.

The support bracket is composed of a plate welded to the structural Outrigger Beam. The unit is then welded or mechanically fastened based on field conditions. The support bracket is painted to match the grill or can be covered by other materials such as tubular aluminum, composite panel or aluminum sheet.

The Sunscreen Grill is composed of 1 3/4” x 4” fins with a 2” x 4” to 2” x 8” face member. The grill members shall be extruded architectural aluminum 6063-T5 alloy and tempered. Major portions of the grill sections shall be a nominal .125 inches. Screws, nuts, washers, bolts, rivets, and other fastening devices shall be aluminum, stainless steel or other non-corrosive materials.

All tubular aluminum extrusions will be joined together at corners by heavy concealed brackets. The brackets shall be secured with screws. These screws shall be counter sunk and painted to match the extrusions.

The sunscreen assembly shall be attached to the support bracket by heavy brackets
and shall be secured with screws.

After installation the sunscreen shall required adequate protection of exposed finishes from damage by grinding and polishing compounds, plaster, lime, acid, cement or other contaminants.
